Each entry gives what the café, pub or restaurant says about its breakfast and brunch and what it publishes about prices, times and booking. We have added the Food Standards Agency hygiene rating, and we say where any other fact comes from. Prices are as shown on the venues’ menus on 27 October and change often.

How we chose
We started with the Medway cafés and pubs that come up again and again when people look for breakfast and brunch, in Visit Medway’s café list, booking listings and local guides. We kept only those whose own websites or social pages publish a breakfast or brunch menu, times or booking details, so each entry could be checked. Café Lounge on Rochester High Street was left out because its website was down when we checked, and Café Nucleus Rochester because it is closed after a fire. Every place here has a Food Standards Agency hygiene rating of 4 or 5 on the FSA register, checked on 27 October 2026.
