We checked 6 places selling real Christmas trees near Medway, from Hartlip to Kingswood, for prices, opening dates and delivery. Updated November 2026.
There are six places to buy a real Christmas tree near Medway in 2026, and this guide puts them in one place with prices, opening dates and what each one sells. The names most people land on are Hans Christmas Andersen at Hartlip, a plantation on the Rainham edge of the towns; Kingswood Christmas Trees near Maidstone, which publishes a full 2026 price list; and Notcutts at Newnham Court. Every entry was checked against the seller’s own website on 5 November 2026.
We have not bought a tree from any of these for this guide, and nothing here is a review. Each entry says what the seller says it does, with its own prices where it publishes them. Nobody we could find sells real trees from a yard inside Medway itself this year, so the list runs out to Maidstone, Sevenoaks and Faversham, with two sellers who deliver. Stock and dates change as the season goes on, so check the website or ring before a special trip.

On the edge of Rainham
1. Hans Christmas Andersen, Hartlip
The Kent site of Hans Christmas Andersen, a family firm that also runs two farms in Surrey, sits on Meresborough Lane between Rainham and Hartlip, just past the top of Spade Lane. It says it moved “just up the road to a bigger space, with plenty of car parking and thousands of trees”.
It sells Nordmann fir, Norway spruce and pot-grown trees, mostly cut already and stood on spikes so you can walk round each one; you cannot cut your own. Because it cuts trees through the season, it says it will not run out, though choice thins near the end.
Wreaths, stands and tree lights are on sale too. There is no Santa at this site.
The page gives the dates without a year, so ring before going on the first weekend.

A farm at Kingswood, south-east of Maidstone, and a member of the British Christmas Tree Growers Association. It says it plants more than 20,000 trees a year in plantations around the farm and sells Norway spruce from 2ft to 12ft and Nordmann fir from 2ft to 20ft, plus rooted and pot-grown trees.
You can be taken into a plantation to pick your own tree. Every tree bought comes with one free small tree from the kids’ tree pen; extra ones are £2.99.
There is a Christmas shop, a food and drink cabin, and a Santa’s grotto from Saturday 21 November, with booking details still to follow on its site.

3. Notcutts, Maidstone
The Notcutts garden centre at Newnham Court Shopping Village, off Bearsted Road near junction 7 of the M20, is about six miles from Chatham over Blue Bell Hill. Notcutts’ national Christmas page says real trees are “coming soon” to its centres, in Nordmann fir, Norway spruce and, “in selected stores”, Fraser fir, and that staff net the tree, bag it if asked and carry it to your car; there is a charge for local delivery.
It does not say which centres have which trees or publish prices, so ring the Maidstone branch before a special trip. There is no Notcutts restaurant here, but the shopping village has cafes.

The farm delivers only within its own area, so check its delivery map before ordering from Medway; most Medway buyers will be collecting from the yard.

Getting rid of the tree in January
Last year Medway Council collected real Christmas trees from Monday 12 January 2026, put out next to the brown bin on the normal collection day. It has not yet published the 2027 arrangements; when it does, the dates will go on our Christmas bin collections page. Hans Christmas Andersen also says you can bring your tree back to its yard after Christmas.
How we chose
We looked for every business selling real Christmas trees to Medway homes, from a yard within a short drive or by delivery, and kept the ones whose own websites confirm a season this year. Prices, dates and opening hours come from those websites, checked on 5 November 2026; where a seller has not published something, the entry says so. We left out national online sellers whose Medway pages are the same as every other town’s, and farms in the Weald more than 25 miles away. Run a place that should be here, or spot something that has changed? Email newsdesk@medwaylive.co.uk. Taken a good photograph of any of these places? Email it to newsdesk@medwaylive.co.uk and we will add it with your name as the credit.
